Affiliate Marketing Using WordPress

One great thing about WordPress is the fact that it’s free. You have nothing upfront other than your hosting costs. This is great for people just getting started, but don’t be fooled, WordPress is very powerful and can take your business from zero to hero in a short amount of time. With WordPress.org files you do need to get a hosting service and also a domain name. So a domain name may cost you about $10 per year, and your hosting is very cheap at only about five dollars per month. Not bad for Internet business.

Make sure that you go to WordPress.org to download your files and not WordPress.com. WordPress.com is not hosted by you, therefore you have a lot less control over what you do with the program. With WordPress.org, you have complete control over your content.

The best thing about WordPress that I like, is the fact that it is open source.  That means that it is driven and grown by the members and developers who use it. Is there something the one done or automated, you can typically get someone to build a plug-in for you.

As your blog gets bigger and bigger, you may have to move to a dedicated server which will cost a little bit more per month. Still a pretty small price to pay for so much potential.

WordPress.org keeps you from having to worry about what is allowed and what’s not allowed. Because it’s on your own server, you have unlimited potential and reign over what you put on your webpages. WordPress.com does not allow many things that you want to do.

In addition to WordPress there are other valuable resources that you can use for your affiliate marketing. Hub pages, Squidoo, ezinearticles.com are just a few of the tools that you have your disposal when you are actually marketing. These are great for getting traffic to your personal blog and also getting back links.

If you don’t want to be disappointed with your internet business, get started with WordPress right away.   Here is what I recommend to help you get started with wordpress.  This is my favorite plugin for wordpress that helps me make a wordpress membership site.
