TweetAdder Review – Does It Work

Looking to add a bunch of followers to your twitter account without being stuck to the computer chair all day? That is what I was looking for when I was searching for a tool. I used Hummingbird, Hummingbird2, TweetLater, SocialToo, and a couple more that aren’t even worth mentioning.

I really wanted to get the most out of my experience with twitter and wanted something that would help me achieve just that. I have been using TweetAdder for about two weeks now, and I would have to say that I’m very pleased so far with my experience. My main concern was finding something that did what it claimed it would do, and did it without me having to manage it all the time or fix it if it broke down on me. [Read more...]

Facebook Buys FriendFeed

Well, I’m sure that you’ve heard the news now that FriendFeed has been purchased by Facebook. This is going to put Facebook on the map for real-time search inquiries just like on Twitter. It sure does look like that Facebook is going after Twitter, hard-core.

The brand-new real-time search will be a leap forward for Facebook. They don’t have to search through long complicated updates to see what is going on, but now it’ll be in clear concise organize tabs to help you jump between friends list and FriendFeeds.

This is very important because for a long time Facebook is fallen are behind Twitter in momentum. Twitter has become the exclusive place that a lot of people go to to find up to the second news on their favorite topics. This is the way that the Internet is going.  Away from Google spiders that take 30 minutes to five hours to find pages, and more towards user driven search engines. I then found myself searching Twitter instead of Google what I want to find out something.

Now you’ll be able to jump all over the Facebook search engine just like you would with Twitter and get list of updated news stories even from people that are not on your friends list.

I am sure we will see more and more from Facebook as they work into this new functionality that they have and I’m sure you’ll see more and more promotion of this leap forward from Facebook.

Best Twitter Tools

twitter-toolsIf you are new to twitter, or even if you are an experienced veteran, chances are you’re perpetually looking for new tools to help you tweet even better. Well, hopefully I can help.

People use twitter to keep up with her friends and some people use twitter to grow their online business.  Depending on what you use twitter for, will determine what tools are best for you.

You do have to be pretty careful when use some Twitter tools because, if you use something that does not work correctly, or doesn’t comply to twitters rules, your account can be shut down with no notice.  Believe me, I’ve had it happen to me. Lesson learned I guess.

Let’s get right into it. The #1 twitter tool that I have learned to keep my tweets directed is TweetDeck. It is essentially a personal browser for your twitter account or accounts that helps you stay connected with acquaintances and with business associates. You can even help you organize your info on Facebook. I would highly recommend TweetDeck to anyone looking to get the most out of their tweets. Oh, and 1 more matter, Tweetdeck is free.

Number 2 favorite so far is Tweetlater.  With over 100,000 users, it is growing by leaps and bounds. There is a free edition and a professional version. Tweedlater assists you to add new followers, automatically un-follow people, set up automated tweets, and integrate direct into Facebook and ping.FM. I love it, I have various accounts running it right now. And my favorite thing about it is that it is not on my desktop, but functions on their servers behind the scenes.

If you’re not using Firefox yet, you should be. There’s a lot of key tools in use to make your Internet experience easier with Firefox. My third most loved twitter tool is Twitterfox.  It helps you continue track of all of your friends action on twitter correct from your Firefox web browser. It makes twitter even lighter than before.

Have you used Tweetmeme yet?  This twitter tool assists you to find the hotlinks that are all over twitter. Help you search by topic, and popularity. It’s identical using Google, but with instant notice when breaking news happens.

Number five. Hummingbird2.  With the full release just days away, it’s going to be exciting to see what is different with Hummingbird 2 verses hummingbird 1. There’s a great free variation and paid versions that you can choose from depending on your needs. This is another tool that helps you grow your twitter account quickly and with an automatic un-follow system included. It also helps you to find people in certain states, and even down to the city level.

So that is it. That’s my favorite five for right now, but other tools come out everyday so I’ll try keep you updated on any new ones that look promising.  Post below to let me know your favs.

Government Computer Takeover?

I really can’t believe this is happening.  The United States government is out of line and it is getting pretty scary.  First spending billions we don’t have, and now trying to interfere with our most basic right, PRIVACY.  Make sure you watch this video and don’t go to the website that they talk about.  If you do, the gov might be able to monitor all of your internet and computer activity.  Even listen to your Skype conversations?

I hope this isn’t true, but it isn’t looking good.

Affiliate Marketing Using WordPress

One great thing about WordPress is the fact that it’s free. You have nothing upfront other than your hosting costs. This is great for people just getting started, but don’t be fooled, WordPress is very powerful and can take your business from zero to hero in a short amount of time. With WordPress.org files you do need to get a hosting service and also a domain name. So a domain name may cost you about $10 per year, and your hosting is very cheap at only about five dollars per month. Not bad for Internet business.

Make sure that you go to WordPress.org to download your files and not WordPress.com. WordPress.com is not hosted by you, therefore you have a lot less control over what you do with the program. With WordPress.org, you have complete control over your content.

The best thing about WordPress that I like, is the fact that it is open source.  That means that it is driven and grown by the members and developers who use it. Is there something the one done or automated, you can typically get someone to build a plug-in for you.

As your blog gets bigger and bigger, you may have to move to a dedicated server which will cost a little bit more per month. Still a pretty small price to pay for so much potential.

WordPress.org keeps you from having to worry about what is allowed and what’s not allowed. Because it’s on your own server, you have unlimited potential and reign over what you put on your webpages. WordPress.com does not allow many things that you want to do.

In addition to WordPress there are other valuable resources that you can use for your affiliate marketing. Hub pages, Squidoo, ezinearticles.com are just a few of the tools that you have your disposal when you are actually marketing. These are great for getting traffic to your personal blog and also getting back links.

If you don’t want to be disappointed with your internet business, get started with WordPress right away.   Here is what I recommend to help you get started with wordpress.  This is my favorite plugin for wordpress that helps me make a wordpress membership site.
